[music |Cut Copy-Lights and Music]

The weather is getting nice enough for folks at the dropseattle community to think about putting stuff together to drop. I know I am.

ETA: Sorry about that-someone was talking to me as I was posting that-can't seem to multitask before the first cuppa joe.

Now is the time when a young Seattlite's fancy turns to drops [Mar. 7th, 2007|06:34 pm]
the seattle cd drop community

Hey there happy people

Weather's warming up a bit, thought we might think about making some more mix CDs to drop around town. I thought this was really fun last year and would like to see it start up again (I can totally see this as a warm-weather activity)

So come one, come all! Fire you your favorite playlist, burn it to your favorite media and go hide it! Tell us where we might find it, and then go look for one yourself

With luck, I'll be hiding my first drop of the year in the next week or two. Need to see what music I have that I would like to share out.

What drops are still out? [Sep. 25th, 2006|05:55 pm]

So, not much activity lately. Do we know who still has drops that are in the wild? I know that the Queen of the Cat People still has Tinkerbell's Dark Side

What else is there?

Drop #2 revisited. [Aug. 26th, 2006|05:21 pm]
the seattle cd drop community

Nevermind. This cd is no longer available.

Here's a new copy of the CD I burned for the original drop #2 (it must've gotten jacked by someone who saw me and was curious).

Capitol Hill.
SW corner of Belmont Ave and E Howell St. (Across from the Redwood.)
Seattle Times paper box.

It'll be there after 6pm tonight.

um, I made a CD nut I am contemplating where to put it...
also, it's got a lot of music on it that relaxes me but isn't boring, and some metal, and a song that fsr fans probably have never heard as a sort of bonus track at the end.

It'll be somewhere in downtown by the end of the week - clues to follow.

Who has been making sure to enjoy summer while its here?

Hopefully everyone.

Sometimes its good to remember what neat strips of green we have right here in the city, so to that end I made a few quests for you all.

Drop #2: Radio Esperanto: CJP: [ random data sets ]

This is last Monday's broadcast from Radio Esperanto.

Louisa Boren Park

In case you don't know where that is, this might jog your memory-

Clue: Have a seat!

Drop #3: Radio Esperanto- CJP: heat vs. placidity

Another broadcast from Radio Esperanto, from July 24.

Clue: Washington Park Arboretum
Clue: From the Lake Washington Blvd entrance, past the Rhodedendron Glen
Clue: stand in front of this sign:
Clue: Turn to the right, just over 90degrees, look ahead.
Clue: Don't Fence Me In
Clue: This time, X actually does mark the spot.

Drop #4: Garrotest Hits (warning: choking hazard)

This is not a DJ mix, but a straight up compilation I made for another mix swap. Rock-like fun!

Clue: Seward Park
Clue: Upper Loop, don't go on bike race day!
Clue: you're around to the last stretch of the loop just before you rejoin the 2-lane, look for:

Clue:Go up and stand at the sign (after you've made sure to parallel park!):

Clue: Turn to the right, 90 degrees.
Clue: Black Tape for a Brown Tree.

I hope some of you take the time to go find one of these. I had fun placing them, and making the sleeves. :)

The Radio Esperanto mixes will eventually be posted in my stream archives but I think it's nice to have the physical thing. - not to mention the CDs are recorded off the mixer and not compressed mp3s.

Happy Summer.
